Yuri Kot (1966)
Yuriy Kot was born in 1966 in Krasnoarmeysk, Donetsk Oblast, Ukraine. He is a professor at the Tchaikovsky National Music Academy of Ukraine. П. І. Tchaikovsky in Kyiv.
Yuriy Kot is a laureate of the National Piano Competition. М. Lysenko (Kyiv, 1988), the All-Union Lysenko Piano Competition. С. Rachmaninoff (Moscow, 1990) and the First Rachmaninoff Piano Competition. С. Prokofiev Competition (St. Petersburg, 1992), as well as a prize-winner at other international competitions, including the 45th ARD Competition (Munich, 1996) and the 6th International Piano Duo Competition (Miami, 1997). Yuriy Kot has spoken in Ukraine, as well as in other EU countries, the USA and Japan. He is also a jury member of national and international competitions and gives master classes. His students also win prizes at national and international competitions.
